The Costa Rican flag carries
the blue and white colors of the Central American Federation (CAF).
The red stripe was added in 1848 in honor of the French
revolution. The flag also contains the State Coat of Arms.
Each
flag shown is the flag used by that
nation's government and displayed at the U.N.
headquarters. Where noted the "civil" flag is also
available. It is identical to the "government" flag except
the seal is omitted.
Flags for Outdoor use are made of 100% heavyweight
nylon and finished with strong canvas headings and brass
grommets.
