The Ethiopian flag was the
first flag to use the Pan-African colors of green for agricultural
wealth, yellow for peace and red for the sacrifices of the people
for independence. The star represents unity, blue stands for peace
and the rays on the star represent the desire for prosperity.
Each
flag shown is the flag used by that
nation's government and displayed at the U.N.
headquarters. Where noted the "civil" flag is also
available. It is identical to the "government" flag except
the seal is omitted.
Flags for Outdoor use are made of 100% heavyweight
nylon and finished with strong canvas headings and brass
grommets.
