The Antigua and Barbuda flag was designed as
a result of a contest held in 1967. The red stands for the
strength of the people. The black represents the African
origin of the people. The yellow, blue and white stand for the
sun, ocean and beaches because tourism is their main
attraction

headquarters. Where noted the "civil" flag is also
available. It is identical to the "government" flag except
the seal is omitted.
