The Australian flag's design
was chosen as a result of a contest. This flag carries the Union
Jack in the canton. The five small stars at the fly end of the
flag represent the star constellation, Southern Cross. The large
seven pointed star under the Union Jack is called the "
Constellation Star" because it represents the six states and one
territory of Australia
Member
Nations of the United Nations

available. It is identical to the "government" flag except
the seal is omitted.

nylon and finished with strong canvas headings and brass
grommets.
