The blue in this flag
represents the sky, the sea and the Issas tribe. The green stands
for the green countryside and the Afars tribe. The white
represents peace and the red star represents represents hope for
unity between the two tribes.
Each
flag shown is the flag used by that
nation's government and displayed at the U.N.
headquarters. Where noted the "civil" flag is also
available. It is identical to the "government" flag except
the seal is omitted.
Flags for Outdoor use are made of 100% heavyweight
nylon and finished with strong canvas headings and brass
grommets.
