The Fiji flag is patterned
after after the British blue ensign. The lighter blue color was
used to differentiate it from the flags of Australia and New
Zealand. The British ensign is in the upper hoist side and it also
contains the state coat of arms. The coat of arms contains the
British lion, the cross of St. George, sugar cane, coconuts, a
peace dove, and a bunch of bananas.
Each flag shown is
the flag used by that
nation's government and displayed at the U.N.
headquarters. Where noted the "civil" flag is also
available. It is identical to the "government" flag except
the seal is omitted.
Flags for Outdoor use are made of 100% heavyweight
nylon and finished with strong canvas headings and brass
grommets.
